Advanced Awareness Counseling

Therapy groups will be scheduled and provided on an as needed basis. We require a minimum of 3 participants to initiate a therapy group. A group may be initiated with 2 participants under certain circumstances if the need requires. 

GROUP OFFERINGS 

Transgender Support Group

A group to find and gain support in an environment where it is safe to discuss issues pertinent to the emotional, social, psychological, and physical aspects of living outside of society's imposed gender binary. IMPORTANT NOTE: If we do not have enough participants for a group, we can offer individual sessions in this area. 

Substance Use/Abuse Class

Sessions addressing all aspects of addiction, anger management, triggers, coping skills, cognitive restructuring, healthy relationships, and much more. For non-court ordered clients. IMPORTANT NOTE: If we do not have enough participants for a group, we can offer individual sessions in this area. 

Domestic Violence (Perpetrator)

Advanced Awareness Counseling is licensed by the state to run a full domestic violence program, including assessments, individual sessions, and group therapy offerings that would satisfy the requirements of the courts and other interested agencies. IMPORTANT NOTE: If we do not have enough participants for a group, we can offer individual sessions in this area. 

Anger Management Class

Sessions addressing all aspects of anger management, triggers, coping skills, cognitive restructuring, healthy relationships, good parenting, and much more. Offered for self-referred clients or for court ordered clients. IMPORTANT NOTE: If we do not have enough participants for a group, we can offer individual sessions in this area. 

Women's Empowerment Group

Sessions addressing women's issues with an emphasis on self-esteem, self-awareness, realizing and utilizing skills, understanding your own power, knowing your strengths, healthy relationships, and much more. A group for victims of abuse, domestic violence, etc. IMPORTANT NOTE: If we do not have enough participants for a group, we can offer individual sessions in this area.
